A ground-breaking product from NSM Music means coin-free access to 200,000 music tracks without the need for a traditional wall-mounted jukebox.

The Sound X Stream is a modern twist perfect for venues such as University students’ unions, restaurants, town centre bars, and pubs.

It costs nearly £2,000 less than a traditional wall-mounted digital jukebox and was launched today at the amusement and attractions sector show, EAG International 2017, at London’s Excel exhibition Centre.

NSM Music’s Sales Manager Alex Kirby explains: “The Sound X Stream works just like a traditional jukebox – but instead of making selections on the box on the wall, users simply browse and make selections via the my jukebox app on their smart phone.

“Payment is through PayPal, making the venue’s coin drop fully secure. This is ideal for an increasing number of venues that want a cashless environment, such as student union facilities.

“Selections will play over the venue’s speaker system and external screens can be linked to this product so customers can see what tracks are playing. The screen will also promote the Sound X Stream product and my jukebox app.”

The venue manager, instead of having a remote control to skip, pause, reject etc., accesses the system through a Managers App so that Sound X Stream is easily and conveniently controlled via smart phone or tablet.

The hardware is a small computer device, measuring 4 inches by four inches by two inches, which can be placed either behind the bar or in an office away from public areas. The manager simply connects the device to the internet, a 240v mains supply and amplifier.

Sound X Stream also plays pre-selected background music with the facility to lock out undesired tracks, artists or genres which don’t fit with the required ambience at any time. This is managed online via a dedicated Managers web site.

Users have access to more than 200,000 audio tracks with daily updates. The hardware costs only £99, which will make it extremely popular to sites that want a revenue generating music system but can’t justify the cost of a traditional jukebox.

The weekly music subscription is only £10.50 per week.
